NEUROMUSCULAR THERAPY
Neuromuscular Therapy , practiced by trained licensed therapists, treats acute and chronic pain caused by soft tissue injury without the use of drugs. Often prescribed by physicians, dentist and surgeons, neuromuscular therapy is a "hands-on" therapy that addresses ischemia (lack of blood and oxygen), trigger points, nerve entrapment or compression, postural distortion, nutrition and emotional well-being. Neuromuscular therapy eliminates or minimizes discomfort, increases flexibility and circulation, helps balance the musculoskeletal system and releases endorphins which are the body's own natural pain killers. Neuromuscular therapy has been found to be an effective therapy for discomfort associated with: athletic injury, headaches , whiplash, sciatica, back pain, tennis elbow, TMJ dysfunction, muscle cramping, myofascial pain and fatigue.
